Wake Up African Man: Man Up

For a long time, most African men have been made to believe that at birth till maturity, African women are being baked to be their submissive servants who answer with heads bowed and kneel on the ground. Even those who have been to school from the ‘crème de la crème’ universities to some roadside kiosk colleges, still hold this retrogressive belief. But do you know their justification? The Bible, yes, Ephesians 5: 22 says, “Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.”

But just like the slave master justified slavery with the Bible for 300 years without telling you that all men are created equal before Christ, these men will not tell you that Ephesians 5: 25 says “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her;… 28 So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; 29 for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church.”
