Invited by passion, inspired by freedom
Pushed by curiosity, and filled with hope
I thought of giving it a chance
Starting by Skyzone

Then later to Hugo’s, a country club
Full off people and music I am an alien to

She came closer and whispered in my ears
‘Darling, kindly remove your cap, you may be mistaken for a thug’
Her beautiful voice ringing on my ears matching her perfectly curved hips and joyous lips,

Oh yes! It just got to me.
I am Black, I have to be careful how I dress or behave lest or else
Oh fellow countrymen, spare me, I am not a mugger
Black is just my perfect standard and I have a choice, don’t I?

Later drinking tasteless American beer with kindred and peers, in 24 hours, I learnt that I can arrive but never reach!
